Awe-SAM facts about Sam Mangubat
Long before he joined Tawag ng Tanghalan, Sam Mangubat's cover songs are already hitting thousands of views on Youtube and Facebook. And when he showcased his singing prowess on the noontime singing competition, he became an instant favorite of the madlang people. Though he lost after his four-straight wins, the fans' all-out support remained solid for this "uploaded sa galing" young man from Laguna.
So for the pleasure of the Samnatics out there, I've listed top eight little facts that you might not know about Sam Mangubat.
8. Sam is a loving brother, son and grandson. Take a look at the photos below and you'll know he really is. :)
7. Sam's father is a pastor. (I personally don't know about his background) but I believe this guy is raised with Christian values which is evident in the way he communicates with his fans in the social world. Yes, he's a humble man!
6. Sam was a confessed Westlifer -- a certified fan of Westlife.

5. The first national TV guesting of Sam was in 2012 in ABS-CBN's late-night show #CGETVInDaLoop. That year his cover songs were already trending online and he was invited to be a "CGEzen" together with another online sensation. Sam's cover for Jojo's Disaster was featured on that TV show.
The song Secrets by One Republic was first sang by Sam live in the in CGE TV. He returned to the show for the second time and sang Kris Allen's No Boundaries.
4. Have you heard Sam's original songs? His song Liwanag Para sa Akin became part of the official soundtrack of ABS-CBN's teleserye Juan dela Cruz in 2013. The music video of the song can be viewed on OneMusicPH's Youtube channel.
3. Sam Mangubat became a guest artist on ASAP18 way back 2013. He was part of a prod number together with his co-Red Manila artists and Yeng Constantino, Bamboo and KZ Tandingan. In his IG post, he said it was the best birthday gift and experience he received.
2. Here's more...did you know that Sam appeared on It's Showtime way back 2012 and dedicated a sample song for Anne and Karylle? This was in a segment Bida Kapamilya where Sam was asked by Teddy and Kuya Kim about his comment about the contestant. After his comment, Sam sang The Script's Breakeven and because of his nice rendition, he received 10k sample prize plus a kiss from Anne Curtis herself!
