Teleserye Trailer Review: The Greatest Love

Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all.

This September, ABS-CBN is set to launch The Greatest Love - another afternoon drama that will touch the hearts of Pinoy viewers. Directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, Dado Lumibao and Mervyn Brondial, this inspiring story is about a family whose foundation is tested by struggles and challenges. A relatable series that will tackle about the sacrifices of a mother for her family.

Topbilled by generations of excellent actors and actresses, the melodrama is led by the award-winning veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez who takes the role of a mother who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. The story will eventually center on Sanchez' character who will went through distress because of the effects of the said brain disorder.

Promising Concept and Social Relevance

The early teaser leaves me eager to uncover the entire storyline.

In fact, even netizens rave about the thought-provoking preview of this drama on Twitter.

Though it's likely predictable, I am curious of how will the events turn out especially the very moment when the mother starts to experience memory loss. Apart from that, the afternoon series opens us to gaining awareness primarily about Alzheimer's disease. For me, it's a sort of feeling the real scenario since we do not know it could happen to our mothers in their old age. The Greatest Love is timely and relevant for family and society.

The Extended Trailer

The full trailer has already left me interested to watch this drama. I'm quite picky when it come to local soap operas but I think the "mother" element of the story is such an inviting factor.

I believe this masterpiece will be an inspirational tool to rekindle our love for our mothers and our family as well.

Beautiful Theme, Good Actors

Basically when we talk about family, all of us have the same mindset of what's going to take place. As seen in the trailer, there's a healthy relationship between the mother and her children, and eventually that closeness will be troubled by an unknown secret of their mother. It's a heavy drama so I expect that emotions will burst out and the exchange of lines between the main characters are obviously intense. Dimples Romana, Andi Eigennman, Aaron Villaflor, Matt Evans and Joshua Garcia are sure to be remarkable with their roles.

A mother's memories may be erased, but her heart never forgets.

The Greatest Love airs on September 5 after Doble Kara in Kapamilya Gold.
