Teleserye Review: Jadine's Till I Met You

After their very successful teleserye "On the Wings of Love", James Reid and Nadine Lustre is back on primetime with "Till I Met You" -another light and romantic series that has drawn the hearts of many Filipino viewers. The newest Kapamilya soap aired its pilot episode on Monday, August 29 and trended number one on Twitter both nationwide and worldwide.

Team Real JaDine is joined with JC Santos who takes the third-wheel in this kiligserye which teases a #LoveWins angle.

TIMY presents a "not-the-usual" plot where within the gradual unfolding of the scenes, the viewers are brought to a different kind of storyline.

Sustained my Curiosity

The time I heard that this soap carries an LGBT element, I wondered how will JaDine handle the scenes knowing that it will be challenging for them and the fact that many teleseryes have been shown with the same theme is an added pressure. But knowing also that hugot director Antonette Jadaone controls the entire dramatic and creative aspects of the primetime series, I was at ease on the other hand. The pilot episode is a clear evidence that the production was smartly woven into a fascinating prelude of what's going to happen. My expectations were served well. Thumbs up!

Perfect Cast

Another credit goes out to Direk Jadaone. The entire cast was obviously and carefully handpicked. In the pilot, the trifecta of Carmina, Angel and Pokwang was a delightful starter. Richard Yap's role was transient but remarkable. The young Iris was cute and very "Nadz". And as usual, the chemistry of James (Basti) and Nadine (Iris) remains palpable than ever. But to take note, Iris and Ali's "spark" jumps off the screen!

Amazing Greece!

Aside from the interesting storyline and excellent actors, Till I Met You takes you to the paradise of Greece. This peninsular country evokes enhancing images of azure blue seas, magnificent beaches with crystal waters, incomparable islands and ancient landmarks. The setting really fits for a wonderful story between three individuals who are in quest for the real love of their life.

The bizarre love triangle...

The bold LGBTQ twist...

The kilig, funny, sweet and socially-relevant TV series

you shouldn't miss every night.

Thanks to Dreamscape for coming up with another world-class production that will surely become a primetime habit for Pinoy viewers.
